I was wearing a blue hat for a short while - now that Christmas is over!

I'm 3 weeks old today - Happy Birthday to me!!

But I've had a little set back since Boxing Day. I've developed a bit of an infection which they are treating with antibiotics. They keep taking me off my milk and my temperature is a bit up/down.

I think I got too excited over Christmas! I got lots of nice presents which I'm looking forward to playing with. They also moved me down to bed 21 to make room for triplets that arrived at the nursery on Christmas Day, and the higher the bed number the further you make your way down the nursery - which also means you are improving and when you get down the end (towards bed 50+) you get to go home! I started at bed 4, was moved to bed 6, then 21 and now I'm back at bed 11!

Poor mummy hasn't been too well either - she's abit run down from all that expressing of yummy mummy's milk she's been making for me and we haven't had a cuddle for about a week.... seems like ages!!!

Daddy's been doing a great job looking after all 3 of us! He's been coming down backwards/forwards for extended weekends and is trying to finish off work commitments as well as keeping things ticking at home. Hang in there Daddy!

I'm looking forward to cuddles all round as soon as we are all able!

My favourite position

.... this is my favourite position! I look pretty comfy don't I?

Just Kicking Back....

oh... this is the life!! What's all the fuss about?

Dress Ups

Nurse Sarah was looking after me yesterday (Sunday) and dressed me up for Christmas!! She really likes me!

First Cuddle with Mum

Here's me finally having first cuddles with my mum.... it was a pretty special moment for both of us!! I was able to breathe on my own for a short while before they put my hat back on!

I'm quickly getting a good grip on things!
Every 6 hours I have what's called "Care" where they change my nappy, remove my headgear, give me a head massage and wipe my face & mouth. I don't look too happy here but I really love having that funny looking Santa Hat off my head - even if it is only for a short while!

I get to breathe all on my own while they are doing this but the oxygen is always on standby.

If Mummy & Daddy are around when this is happening, they get to change my nappy and have a hold of me!

One of my favourite positions

They change the position I lie in every so many hours so I don't get too stiff and sore. I really love it on my tummy!

I'm very long....

Here's me with my legs stretched out. I think I'm pretty long for my age - I'm 32cm in length.

Here's me close up....

Even though I have these things up my nose and so much headgear .... I'm pretty comfortable most of the time - and don't cry too much!

The green tube in my mouth is where the yummy mummy's milk comes through. I've been tolerating small amounts every hour which will make me grow big and strong!

Peek A Boo Hamish....

I'm sure I will get to love these little games when I am a bit older!

Second Family Portrait

Here's another one of me with my parents - this was taken yesterday (Tues 15/12).

I had to spend the day yesterday under lights again for my jaundice. I've got my cool sunnies on and they have turned me onto my side!

I'm almost one week old and now 27 weeks gestation.

The large tube down my throat has been removed and I now have a nasal respirator. It is held in place with my trendy santa hat. They took me off the morphine yesterday and I was a bit agitated but I am much more settled today. I am still taking mum's milk through a small tube and she is kindly expressing every 3 hours. They are also giving me caffeine to help stimulate my breathing. I think it means that I will really love my lattes when I am a bit older.

Thursday 12 December - 2 Days Old

I am keeping nice and cosy in my home - it is 37oC and 80% humidity. My dad thinks it's too hot but I really like it.
My Mum changed my little nappy today and I put on a bit of a fountain show for her and dad.

The nurses looking after me are fantastic - I really like them.

I had to have some light treatment for my skin yesterday and the nurses gave me some sunnies.
